These cover using Know Your Chair while it is free and unfinished. They are deliberately short. If something here seems unfair, say so and we will look at it.

What you are agreeing to
By using this site or the app you accept what is on this page. If you do not, do not use it.
It is free, and it is unfinished
Know Your Chair costs nothing today and there is no card on file. Parts of it are incomplete and some of it will break. We may change or remove features while we work out what belongs.
If we start charging, we will tell you first, and you will keep the price you joined on for as long as you stay subscribed. Nobody gets billed without agreeing to it.
Your numbers are your responsibility
Everything you log lives on your device and not on our servers. We cannot recover it if you clear your browser, lose your phone, or the device fails. Until export exists, keep your own note of anything you would be sorry to lose.
It is not advice
Know Your Chair works out figures from numbers you give it. Those figures are estimates for planning. They are not tax, accounting, legal or financial advice, and nothing on this site should be treated as a recommendation about your business, your prices or your taxes. Where a question crosses into that territory, our guides say so and point you at HMRC, Revenue or an accountant.
Decisions you make with these numbers are yours.
Your account
Sign-in codes are for you. Do not pass them on. Tell us if you think somebody else has access.
We may suspend an account that is being used to abuse the service, attack it, or scrape it. We would rather email you first, and normally will.
What we do not promise
We do not promise the service will always be available, always be correct, or keep working forever. It is a free beta built by two people part time. If we ever have to stop, we will give notice and time to get your numbers out.
Nothing here limits liability for anything that cannot lawfully be limited, including death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud.
Your rights as a consumer
If you are a consumer in the UK, you keep all the statutory rights you have by law. Nothing on this page reduces them.
Changing these terms
We will update this page as the product changes, and we will date it. If a change matters to you, for example starting to charge, we will email you rather than quietly editing.

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts there have jurisdiction.
